Mimi the Clown's Good Life
Melody Scruggs better known as Mimi the clown has owned and operated The MelodyMaker Family Entertainment Co. for 13 years. She has found much purpose and fulfillment in the silly business of magic, balloon art and her true passion, face painting. She has entertained for the US Marine Corp, NC Museum of Life and Science, Chick-Fil-A, Mercedes Benz, Glaxo Smith Kline, Carolina Cinemas and many more. Her favorite charities are The Triangle Down Syndrome Network, The Triangle Run/ Walk for Autism, SafeChild, Serena’s Song, and Shop with a Cop to name a few. She feels that she loves people with her brush and that she is proof that you can do what you love and live your dreams!
Melody Scruggs is married to Richard Scruggs aka Santa. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary in Hawaii this year and have 3 beautiful daughters, London Jasmine, Paris Lilly, and Vienna Rose.
She also feels very blessed to have Crystal Valladares and her family in her life. Crystal has become Glitter the clown, Mimi’s little sister. She has become a gift both professionally and personally.
Melody Scruggs also started the NC Face and Body Arts Guild, NCFBAG.COM in March of 2010 and has become surrounded by talented and caring friends that share her love of the art of face painting.
She says her good life has been fruition of God’s promise to her and quotes Isaiah 51:3 "For the Lord will comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden and, her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving and the voice of Melody."
